Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) is seeking a paid Co-Op in Ogden, UT to support operations through projects in quality, facilities, capacity planning and process redesign.

Under close supervision, you will assist with data analysis, production planning and equipment standardization while balancing class schedules and coursework. This role requires enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program.

Qualifications

• No experience required; must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program.
• Preferred majors: Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Must be able to balance work with class schedules.
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in quality improvement, facilities, capacity planning and process redesign projects.
• Support purchasing, production planning, data analysis and capital requests as needed.

Position Summary

Under close supervision, the paid Co‑Op assists in completing various projects and tasks related to the operational functions. Projects may include quality improvement, facilities, capacity planning and process redesign, purchasing, production planning, data analysis, capital appropriate requests, project management, and/or equipment standardization.

Required Skills

• Ability to perform basic math functions
• Good verbal communication skills
• Data entry using MS Office, QAD, or other software systems
• Analyze statistical data
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• No experience required, however must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program from an accredited institution.
• Preferred Major - Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering or similar related field of study.
• Candidate must be able to work while also attending classes. Work schedules will vary based on school schedules.
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment.
