Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) is seeking a candidate for the Quality department to release MRB rework packages, conduct quality audits of manufacturing processes and documentation, and ensure compliance with customer print and special purchase order requirements.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in quality, mechanical, electrical, computer engineering, business, accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and release rework instructions for MRB items.
  • Assist with compliance procedures and internal audits.
  • Review quality documentation and identify gaps.
  • Investigate customer complaints and root cause analysis support.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare audit reports with findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and track corrective actions.
  • Participate in special quality assurance projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Position Summary: Under the direction of the leadership team in the Quality Department, release MRB rework packages, conduct quality and technical audits of manufacturing processes and documentation; review manufacturing instructions and data; and ensure compliance with customer print and special purchase order requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Plan and release rework instructions for items in the Material Review Board process.
  • Assist with Compliance procedure implementation and adherence.
  • Assist in conducting internal audits across various departments, evaluating adherence to internal and external quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the review and analysis of quality documentation, identifying potential gaps and non-conformities.
  • Participate in the investigation of customer complaints and non-conformance issues, assisting with root cause analysis and corrective action recommendations.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit reports, documenting findings and recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and track the effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Participate in special projects related to quality assurance and process improvement as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's/master's degree in quality engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
