Job summary

Farm Credit Services of America is seeking a Quality Engineering Architect to lead our software quality strategy, standards, and governance. This role partner teams across Application Development, Architecture, Product, Platform Engineering, Security, and business leadership to drive modernization of quality engineering with automation and AI-assisted testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in software quality engineering, software development, test automation, or related tech disciplines.
• 5+ years of experience defining and implementing quality engineering, testing, or automation strategies.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, software testing methodologies, and quality engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the quality engineering strategy, standards, and roadmap.
• Establish and govern test automation standards, frameworks, and best practices.
• Define quality metrics, scorecards, and reporting capabilities for quality performance.
• Drive shift-left testing to improve quality early in the SDLC.
• Integrate automated testing, quality gates, and quality controls into CI/CD pipelines.
• Coach and mentor quality engineers, software engineers, product teams, and leaders on modern QA practices.
• Evaluate AI-assisted testing and automation solutions to improve effectiveness.
• Promote a culture of quality, automation, and engineering excellence across teams.
• Partner with Architecture, Security, Platform Engineering, and App Development leaders to align practices.
