Job summary

Abbott Nutrition in Casa Grande, AZ is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team. The role covers equipment validation, quality issue resolution, and collaboration across departments to ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and FDA guidelines.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a manufacturing/engineering field and 2+ years in manufacturing quality. Strong technical knowledge of food manufacturing equipment and processes is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years in a manufacturing environment with emphasis on Quality.
• Technical knowledge of food manufacturing equipment, processes and procedures.
• Ability to support GMP, HACCP and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Review RCEs, Validation documents, Preventative Maintenance & Calibration records to identify impact to quality aspects, GMP and potential product hazards.
• Contribute to development of process designs and validation protocols; assist in design/execution of validation protocols when required.
• Assist in development and performance of process capability studies on manufacturing equipment and work with reliability teams on improvements.
• Assist in quality and productivity improvement projects.
• Provide QA input to change control and Validation Master Plan; perform periodic reviews.
• Assist in exception report root cause analysis and trend analysis for QA/Validation projects.
• Perform HACCP, GMP, cross connection/backflow, SQF validation/verification audits as required.
• Update HACCP and Food Safety Plans based on plant changes and risk assessment.
