Job summary

Actalent seeks a Product & Quality Engineer to design, validate, and launch transportation safety products. The role blends product and quality engineering to meet customer requirements, regulatory standards, cost targets, and production objectives.

The engineer uses Stage-Gate, APQP, DFMEA, DVP&R, and Lean methods while collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop manufacturable, high-quality products and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years in product development, manufacturing, or quality engineering.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with SolidWorks and GD&T knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and launch of new or improved transportation safety products using Stage-Gate and APQP.
• Develop engineering deliverables including specifications, timing plans, cost targets, DFMEA, DVP&R, drawings, and validation plans.
• Produce, maintain, and update engineering documentation in compliance with company policies and industry standards.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and implement corrective actions based on data.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Testing, Finance, and Program Management teams.
