Job summary

Top Gun Staffing, Inc. seeks aQuality Engineer to drive product lifecycle quality from prototype to production, ensuring robust PPAP submissions, control plans, and process validation. You will partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and suppliers to meet customer requirements and deliver defect-free products.

You will mentor teams in quality standards, lead corrective actions, and support continuous improvement efforts across high-volume processes using GD&T, PFMEA, and ISO 9001-based systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline preferred.
• 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting welding, fabrication, assembly, stamping, or other high-volume manufacturing processes preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, GD&T, statistical quality methods, CAPA.
• Advanced knowledge of CMM inspection and dimensional reporting/analysis.
• Experience reading CAD drawings and interpreting technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of customer product, quality, and engineering specifications.
• Lead quality-related activities for new product launches.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and Quality teams to support development and introduction of products.
• Coordinate quality-related activities and corrective actions with production personnel.
• Train and mentor quality and production staff on quality standards and inspection requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement, scrap reduction, process improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Prepare and coordinate PPAP submissions for new products and process changes.
• Develop and maintain Control Plans, inspection procedures, and related production documentation.
• Coordinate development and implementation of inspection fixtures with tooling or equipment suppliers.
• Review quality issues and corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve processes.
• Serve as liaison between customers, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, suppliers, and outside service providers.
