Job summary

Corning is seeking a Quality Engineer to apply engineering principles to strengthen the Product Quality Architecture within the plant. You will drive continual improvements, perform root-cause analyses, and lead corrective actions to meet reliability standards while ensuring documentation compliance.

The role involves collaboration with manufacturing, engineering, and development teams to implement robust quality systems and manage supplier quality reviews.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering and 2+ years in process or quality engineering.
• Experience with ISO Certifications and quality audits.
• Strong data collection, analysis skills and statistics understanding.
• Experience in a manufacturing plant is preferred with a quality certification.
• Familiarity with DMAIC/Lean six-sigma methodologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designs and improves quality architecture systems.
• Facilitates understanding of process capability and product quality.
• Performs experimental designs and data analysis.
• Leads root cause analysis for non-conforming products/processes.
• Drives corrective and preventive actions and closes investigations.
• Supports QA in resolving product or customer issues.
• Oversees Change Control and evaluates impact of changes on quality.
• Ensures data integrity and label printing accuracy.
