Job summary

Corning Incorporated in Corning, NY is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to develop and improve quality systems across Advanced Optics. You will apply PPAP, PCPD, MSA, and PFMEA to translate requirements into capable, controlled processes.

The role spans new product introductions, pilot lines, technology transfers, and process improvements with 25% travel. Strong analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations or related field.
7+ years in manufacturing quality, process engineering, or similar role.
Experience applying PPAP or similar structured qualification methods.

Responsibilities

Translate customer, product, and process requirements into manufacturing controls and qualification plans.
Lead PPAP, process qualification, validation, and production-readiness activities.
Develop and maintain process flows, CTQ, PFMEA, Control Plans, and readiness evidence.
Lead MSA, capability studies, and data analysis to verify controls and validations.
Implement PCPD elements—documentation, SOPs, training, calibration, audits.
Identify gaps, align ownership, and close actions with evidence-based decisions.
Ensure sustained controls across products, processes, and sites.
