Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth, TX seeks a senior quality engineer to apply quality principles across design, materials, production control, and supplier processes. You will collaborate with program management, engineering, manufacturing, and customers to ensure compliance and drive corrective actions.

The role requires 8+ years of related experience, AS9100/FAI knowledge, GD&T, and strong data analytics using Minitab/Tableau.

Applies quality principles in the areas of: design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products. Performs technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures. Collaborates with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place. Engages in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action. Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements. Basic Qualifications
  • Generally has 8+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
  • Advanced understanding and experience completing root cause analysis and corrective action planning
  • Advanced understanding of AS9100 standard and experience with reviewing or performing AS9102 First Article Inspections
  • Advances understanding of statistical and data analytic skills
  • Ability to interpret drawings and specifications for development of quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for inspection and test of manufactured products
  • An understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Desired Skills
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certified
  • Experience with Minitab, Tableau, and Business Objects for data analytic/dashboard creation
  • F-35 production operations experience
  • Experience in project management methodologies
  • Experience with Low Observable (LO) Finishes/Coating Technology and/or processes
  • Experience with Product-Quality methods either from the quality or manufacturing perspective
  • Ability to effectively navigate complex product and process-related requirements to validate nonconformances and develop corrective actions in coordination with DCMA and Production colleagues.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Systems, Shop Floor Manager (SFM) or similar manufacturing management systems, Product Data Management (PDM) or similar engineering database, Quality Assurance Documentation System (APRISO) or similar system.
  • American Society for Quality (ASQ): Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQOE) certification.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills needed for collaboration, communication, and presentations.
  • Conduct/coordinate process and product evaluations and assessments.
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00
