Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Orlando is seeking a Quality Engineer to apply quality principles across design, manufacturing, program performance, and supplier evaluation. You will collaborate with program management, engineering, and customers to ensure quality standards are met and improvements are driven end-to-end.

The role requires a STEM degree, the ability to obtain a Secret clearance, and experience developing inspection methods; travel up to 50% may be involved.

Qualifications

• STEM degree at bachelor level or higher.
• Must be able obtain a Secret level security clearance.
• Experience developing methods, work instructions and procedures for inspection of manufactured products.
• Ability to interpret Drawings, Specifications, Contracts for QE processes and metrics.
• Experience in dispositioning non-conforming products.
• Travel 25-50% as required.

Responsibilities

• Applies quality principles across design, incoming material, production control, and testing.
• Collaborates with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality issues.
• Engages in product failure investigations and CAPA activities.
• Develops strategies to improve supplier and internal performance.
• Evaluates quality systems and applies corrective actions based on data.
