Job summary

ABW Technologies in Washington, DC is seeking a Quality Engineer to develop and manage nonconformance and corrective action programs, reporting to the Director of Operations. You will drive root-cause analysis and work with internal teams and customers to implement CAPA, RCCA, and 8D methodologies to prevent recurrence and improve processes.

You will also support continuous improvement of quality systems, inspection processes, and manufacturing operations across the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Experience with nonconformance and corrective action processes.
• Experience performing root-cause analysis and problem solving.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• Ability to manage multiple quality issues and deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with customer quality portals.
• Experience in aerospace/manufacturing or regulated environments.
• Experience with AS9100/ISO 9001 or similar QMS.
• Experience with customer corrective action requirements.
• Experience with 8D, RCCA, CAPA, or similar methodologies.
• Experience with statistical analysis and quality tools.
• Experience developing quality dashboards and metrics.
• Internal Auditor or similar certification.
• Lean/Six Sigma experience or certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the companys nonconformance and corrective action programs.
• Lead root-cause corrective action efforts and support process improvement with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with customer portals and internal teams to address quality issues.
• Identify root causes, implement effective corrective actions, and monitor effectiveness to prevent recurrence.
• Support continuous improvement of quality systems, inspection and manufacturing processes.
