Job summary

A leading energy equipment company is hiring a Quality Engineer to protect product and process quality across production, overhaul, and repair operations. You will serve as the quality point person between engineering, the shop floor, and supplier quality, digging into defects, performing root‑cause analysis, and driving containment and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 3+ years in a quality engineering role in manufacturing/repair/oil & gas environments.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
• Hands-on NCR management, RCA/CAPA, and continuous improvement tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the go-to quality contact for manufacturing engineering, production teams, and supplier quality.
• Analyze in-process defects, escapes, and process gaps; provide real-time quality guidance on the floor.
• Partner with supplier quality engineers when vendor issues surface, driving containment and corrective actions.
• Manage nonconformance reports from open to close.
• Lead or facilitate root cause analysis and CAPA; verify fixes are effective.
• Track yield, defect trends, and process capability; act on negative trends.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce defects and improve efficiency.
• Maintain ISO 9001 and internal QA system compliance.
• Review and approve work instructions and process plans; ensure changes go through formal change control.
