Job summary

MKS Instruments is seeking a Quality Engineer for our Lawrence pressure sensor manufacturing site to maintain and improve product quality and the overall quality management environment on site.

You will lead root cause analyses, perform technical investigations on electromechanical assemblies, and collaborate with manufacturing, service and suppliers to resolve quality issues. This on-site role requires strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electronics, physics, an engineering discipline or similar.
• 2+ years of experience in quality engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies and practical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement using PS tools like 8D, Ishikawa, 5xWhy.
• Lead and support technical investigations on electromechanical assemblies to identify root causes.
• Support Manufacturing to resolve quality issues from suppliers and internally.
• Support Service to monitor field claims and resolve top field issues.
• Collaborate with suppliers, engineers and stakeholders to solve main Quality issues.
• Perform internal and supplier quality audits with timely closure of results.
