Job summary

At MKS Instruments, Inc., a Lawrence, MA site, we are seeking a Quality Engineer to uphold and improve a reliable Product Quality level within a sustainable Quality Management environment. This on-site role involves leading root cause analyses, supporting manufacturing, and driving continuous improvement across suppliers and internal teams.

The ideal candidate has a degree in electronics/physics/engineering with 2+ years of experience and strong problem-solving skills, plus hands-on experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electronics, physics, engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in quality engineering or related role.
• Strong root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills using problem-solving tools.
• Experience with electrical measurements, schematics, test equipment and diagnostics.
• Excellent stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement using 8D, Ishikawa, and 5 Whys.
• Lead and support investigations on electromechanical assemblies to identify root causes.
• Support Manufacturing to solve quality issues from suppliers and internally.
• Assist Service to monitor field claims and resolve top field issues.
• Perform internal and supplier quality audits with timely closure of results.
• Use reporting systems to identify major problems via Pareto analysis.
