Job summary

MKS Instruments in Lawrence, MA is seeking a Quality Engineer to maintain and improve product quality and the Quality Management environment at our Lawrence pressure sensor site.

In this on-site role you will perform root cause analyses using 8D, Ishikawa, and 5-why; lead investigations into electromechanical assemblies; support manufacturing and service to resolve quality issues and field claims; perform supplier and internal audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in electronics, physics, an engineering discipline or similar.
• 2+ years of experience in quality engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies and practical troubleshooting techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform root cause analysis to recommend continuous improvement using PS tools (8D, Ishikawa, 5xWhy).
• Lead and support technical investigations on electromechanical assemblies, identifying root causes of failures through analytical and hands-on troubleshooting.
• Support Manufacturing to solve quality issues from suppliers and internally.
• Support Service to monitor field claims and resolve TOP field issues.
• Collaborate with suppliers, engineers and stakeholders to solve major quality issues.
• Perform internal and supplier quality audits with timely closure of results.
