Job summary

LeoForce in Springfield, NJ is seeking a Mid-Level Quality Engineer to ensure product conformance with specifications and customer requirements. You will lead root-cause analyses (8D, 5 Whys), participate in cross-functional teams, and interface with customers to provide top quality experiences.

You will audit processes, review blueprints and specifications, and work with Product and Manufacturing engineering to resolve design and tooling issues.

Qualifications

• 4 year technical degree or equivalent, Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 4-8 years experience in Quality Assurance in Aerospace, Defense, or Nuclear Power environments.
• Must be personable, capable of communicating with plant personnel at all levels.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Superior analytical skills and familiarity with common analysis tools (Microsoft Office, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Perform root cause analysis (8D, 5 Whys) of identified issues and identify corrective actions.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to investigate and eliminate quality problems.
• Interface directly with customers to provide the best customer quality experience.
• Conduct audits to ensure regulatory, customer, and internal compliance.
• Review customer blueprints and specifications and ensure conformance.
• Collaborate with Product and Manufacturing eng., tooling, and process owners on quality issues.
• Review raw material certifications and release for production as needed.
• Oversee testing and inspections and coordinate with customers and inspectors.
