Job summary

LeoForce in Lake Forest, CA is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality processes for an electronics-manufacturing environment. You will support SMT/PCBA lines, perform RCA/CAPA, and drive improvements across IPC-610, J-STD-001, and ISO 9001 standards.

The role requires 4+ years in electronics QA, strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration, with a focus on defect reduction and NPI readiness. On-site position with competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred.
• 4+ years of quality engineering in electronics manufacturing.
• Strong IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 knowledge.
• Experience with SPC, FMEA, CAPA, Lean/Six Sigma.
• Hands-on experience with AOI, X-ray, and functional testing.
• Knowledge of soldering processes and PCB assembly.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality processes for electronics manufacturing.
• Support SMT/PCBA production lines and inspection standards.
• Lead RCA and CAPA using 8D, Fishbone, and 5 Whys.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
• Monitor FPY, DPPM, scrap, and rework; drive improvements.
• Support NPI by embedding quality into processes from start.
• Perform internal audits and assist external/customer audits.
• Ensure ISO 9001, IPC standards, and customer requirements compliance.
• Review FAIs, control plans, PFMEAs, and process docs.
• Work with suppliers on corrective actions and performance tracking.
