Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience.
• Exposure to manufacturing environments or manufacturing process fundamentals through coursework, lab projects, internships, co-ops, or prior work experience.
• Basic knowledge of ISO Standards, Six Sigma tools, statistics
• Ability to understand military specifications and to read blueprints
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills
• Experience in defining problems and driving to root cause and effective corrective action

Responsibilities

• Assist with quality system development and support product quality improvements.
• Develop, maintain and deploy quality plans translating customer requirements into activities.
• Work independently under supervision.
• Analyze program requirements and prepare quality plans, procedures, schedules and resources.
• Review and approve engineering/test and contractor documentation for quality requirements.
• Gather, organize, monitor, analyze and report information on products and processes.
• Provide ongoing quality system support including internal audits and corrective actions.
• Participate on product quality improvement teams and Failure / Material Review Boards.
• Evaluate and dispose of non-conforming material.
• Support Assembly/Test/Inspection with workmanship improvement plans and inspection criteria.
• Assist in resolving customer quality issues.
• Initiate root cause and corrective action on process and product quality issues.
• Deploy SPC initiatives and supplier quality processes.
• Attend customer, business or program meetings.
• Prepare quality engineering reports and recommendations.
• Provide regular progress/status updates.
• Complete assigned tasks on time while meeting technical requirements.
