Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Quality, or Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 2+ years of quality experience in a production environment.
• Experience in power generation, engines, heavy equipment, oil & gas, industrial assembly, fabrication, or electrical/mechanical systems preferred.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, electrical diagrams, and acceptance criteria.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and lean manufacturing.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with Minitab or similar statistical software preferred.
• Ability to prioritize multiple quality issues based on safety, customer impact, production impact, and recurrence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills at both shop floor and leadership levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain inspection plans, acceptance criteria, and test procedures for new builds, rebuilds, modifications, and make-ready units, including final inspection and functional/load testing before units leave the yard.
• Develop and maintain PFMEA and Control Plans in partnership with Manufacturing and Operations.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and work instructions to ensure appropriate quality controls are established.
• Develop and validate inspection and test methods.
• Manage product and process nonconformances, including containment, investigation, disposition, corrective action, and effectiveness verification.
• Support process, product, layered process, and Quality Management System audits.
