Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced Quality Technician to support QA processes, inspections, and test activities for materials and components. The role emphasizes documentation, compliance with internal and external standards, and collaboration with production and engineering teams.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in quality roles, proficiency with inspection tools, and a foundational understanding of SPC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–3 years in a quality inspection or technician role, manufacturing preferred.
• Proficiency with inspection tools and reading technical drawings.
• Basic understanding of SPC and sampling techniques.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with quality management software.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections on products, materials, and components.
• Conduct routine testing using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Document inspection results and test data accurately and completely.
• Identify non-conforming materials or products and initiate NCRs.
• Support root cause analysis and CAPA.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection and test equipment.
• Assist with audits (ISO or customer) by preparing documentation.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specs, and work instructions.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to resolve quality issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Other quality tasks as needed.
