Actalent, based in Mesa, AZ, seeks a Quality Engineer to lead PFMEA development and control plans on the manufacturing floor. You will drive risk-based thinking, improve process capability, and assure robust inspection and testing per aerospace and welding/brazing standards where applicable.

The role emphasizes hands-on quality planning, CAPA, NCR/CAR handling, and collaboration with Engineering, Production, and Quality Control teams to reduce scrap and prevent defects.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering is required.
• Extensive experience leading PFMEA and facilitating cross‑functional teams.
• Proven ability to create and maintain Control Plans and identify CTQ characteristics.
• Strong root-cause analysis and CAPA skills with structured problem-solving tools.
• Experience with NCR/CAR/CAPA systems and quality data analysis.
• Familiarity with AS9100, DFARS or similar standards is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Lead PFMEA development and maintenance for key manufacturing processes.
• Create and maintain Control Plans aligned with PFMEA risks and CTQs.
• Identify CTQs and implement applicable process and inspection controls.
• Support APQP and PPAP activities per customer/program requirements.
• Drive risk-based thinking to mitigate issues and improve process capability.
• Analyze manufacturing processes to reduce variation and defects.
• Develop in-process inspection strategies and QAS system improvements.
• Lead nonconformance investigations (NCRs, CARs) and CAPA actions.
