Quality Engineer: NCR & 8D Lead for FOAK Manufacturing

Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs is seeking a Quality Engineer to own NCR workflows on the production floor and lead 8D RCAs with CAPA implementations. You will drive process plan execution for HTS Magnet and SPARC assemblies, monitor FOAK quality, and provide off-shift quality leadership to ensure engineering requirements are met on all hardware.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering to refine detailed instructions, maintain Control Plans, analyze defect data, and support supplier quality

Qualifications

• NCR ownership and corrective action leadership.
• Experience leading 8D root cause analyses and CAPA.
• Knowledge of Process Plans and Control Plans in manufacturing.
• FOAK quality monitoring and data analysis for defect trends and MSAs.
• On-shift quality leadership with adherence to engineering specs.
• Collaboration with Manufacturing and Engineering to document and verify processes.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the end-to-end NCR workflow on the production floor.
• Drive process plan execution and ensure stability of HTS Magnet manufacturing and SPARC assemblies.
• Monitor FOAK quality and collect data on defect trends, inspection results, and MSA.
• Provide technical oversight for high-priority quality inspections during off-shift.
• Refine manufacturing instructions and process plans with cross-functional teams.
• Support supplier quality with defect documentation and root-cause analysis.
