Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Quality Technician to uphold high safety and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will audit processes, apply NCR/8D methods, and collaborate with engineering, production, and vendors to ensure product conformance.

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to drive improvements across the plant while supporting safety and productivity goals.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years' experience using measuring tools to do in-depth quality checks.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to plan and organize responsibilities according to company needs.
• Ability to make decisions and self-pace work; strong prioritization skills.
• Demonstrated problem-solving using 8D/NCR methodology.
• Experience with data collection.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and measure product for conformance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with multiple levels of staff, suppliers, and clients to resolve quality issues.

Responsibilities

• Maintain attitude toward reliability, safety, integrity, quality, and productivity as a unified goal.
• Utilize NCR process and 8D approach to build quality into processes.
• Internally audit daily activities to identify non-conformances and correct them.
• Initiate, manage, and close NCRs with priority.
• Escalate persistent or complex non-conformances to QA Engineers.
• Ensure product quality passes through all stations.
• Identify opportunities to improve product and process quality.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, safety, and vendors for compliance.
• Support COPQ reduction and root cause investigations.
