Job summary

Reader Precision Solutions in Wisconsin seeks a Quality Engineer to lead metrology and gage programs, calibrations, and inspection process improvements on the manufacturing floor. You will design and troubleshoot CMM/Oasis/Keyence programs, support APQP/PPAP/FAI, and ensure AS9100/ISO 9001 compliance while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred; significant experience may substitute.
• 3-5 years in a quality or metrology engineering role in manufacturing.
• Expert-level knowledge of micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, CMMs, Oasis, Keyence; hands-on programming.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical resource for metrology and gage use, calibrations, and operator training.
• Design, modify, and troubleshoot CMM, Keyence, and Oasis programs and diagnose inspection issues.
• Support APQP, PPAP, and FAI submissions with technical validation and documentation.
• Lead root cause analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone) and implement CAPA to resolve quality problems.
• Analyze data with High QA software and maintain quality documentation and inspection work instructions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve inspection plans and meet AS9100/ISO 9001 standards.
