Reader Precision Solutions seeks a Quality Engineer with hands-on metrology and gage expertise to support calibration, CMM programming, and inspection planning. You will collaborate with manufacturing and engineering to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires 3–5 years in quality/metrology, AS9100/ISO 9001 knowledge, and proficiency with High QA and related tools. This position emphasizes data-driven problem solving and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; associates considered with experience.
• 3–5 years in quality or metrology within manufacturing.
• Expert knowledge of micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, CMMs, Oasis, Keyence, and related inspection equipment with hands-on programming.
• Strong APQP/PPAP/FAI, calibration management, and AS9100/ISO 9001 familiarity.
• Experience with quality tracking software and statistical tools (prefer High QA).

Responsibilities

• Provide metrology, gage, and calibration expertise and train operators.
• Design, modify, and troubleshoot CMM/Keyence/Oasis programs; diagnose issues.
• Interpret drawings and inspection requirements for production teams.
• Support APQP, PFMEA, PPAP, and FAI documentation with engineering.
• Lead continuous improvement of inspection plans and metrology processes.
• Support MRB decisions and nonconforming material evaluations.
