IFABCORP is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer to lead quality initiatives across metal fabrication operations in Gastonia, NC. You will drive process inspections, root cause analysis, and control plan development to meet internal and customer standards.

Responsibilities include audits, documentation, NPI support, and collaboration with Production and Engineering to embed quality into designs and processes. Strong background in ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and Lean/Six Sigma is expected.

Competenze

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
3+ years in Quality Engineering within metal fabrication/manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of metalworking processes and quality standards.

Mansioni

Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes across metal stamping, welding, laser cutting, e-coat/powder coating, CNC machining, and assembly.
Partner with Production and Engineering teams to integrate quality standards into product design and manufacturing workflows.
Investigate and resolve quality issues using root cause analysis tools (5-Why, Fishbone Diagram, FMEA).
Develop and execute CAPA plans and support Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives.
Conduct internal audits and assist with external customer and registrar audits (ISO/IATF).
Track KPIs like PPM, scrap rates, rework costs, and customer complaints.
Create and update quality documentation (PPAPs, FMEAs, Control Plans, Work Instructions) and participate in APQP for new product launches.
