Job summary

Qualifications

• Must own tools for daily tasks (micrometers, calipers, edge finders, etc.).
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
• Forklift certified; understand safety rules for lifts.
• Working knowledge of computers.
• Basic math skills.
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions and work from sketches.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Capable of thriving in a fast pace environment to meet team goals.

Responsibilities

• Approves incoming materials by verifying specs, conducting tests, and rejecting nonconforming items.
• Approves in-process production by confirming specs and coordinating adjustments with production supervisor.
• Approves finished products by confirming specs and documenting rework and approvals.
• Fill out travelers, time sheets, inspection documents and related paperwork.
