Job summary

The Matlen Silver Group in Portage, MI seeks a Quality Engineer with a manufacturing, automotive, or medical background to support production and assembly operations on a 12-month contract. This onsite role emphasizes hands-on quality improvement and RCA across cross-functional teams.

You will partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, and Quality teams to investigate issues, drive corrective actions, and advance process quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or closely related technical degree required.
• Experience in Quality Engineering or manufacturing quality.
• Experience in medical device or regulated industries preferred.
• Hands-on experience supporting production operations.
• Experience with RCA and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Willingness to work 100% onsite and a 12-month contract.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality support for production and assembly operations.
• Investigate quality and production issues and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Support non-conforming product investigations and corrective actions.
• Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, and Quality teams.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving quality issues.
• Support process and product quality improvements.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal teams and stakeholders.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
