Job summary

Matlen Silver seeks a Quality Engineer to support production and assembly operations in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on RCA and continuous improvement. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, and Quality teams.

The position is 100% onsite in Portage, MI, for a 12-month contract, Monday–Friday, offering hands-on QA responsibilities and opportunities to drive process and product quality improvements in a regulated manufacturing

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or closely related technical degree.
• Experience in Quality Engineering, QA, Manufacturing Quality, Production Quality, Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience in medical device or regulated/manufacturing industries preferred.
• Hands-on experience supporting production, manufacturing, assembly, or production operations.
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability and willingness to work 100% onsite, Monday–Friday.
• Ability to commit to a 12-month contract.

• Support non-conforming product investigations and corrective actions.

• Work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support production and assembly operations within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong quality background, hands‑on experience supporting production, and the ability to troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Quality professional to work cross‑functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, and Quality teams while contributing to day‑to‑day operations and continuous improvement.

Desired Skills

• Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Aerospace, Automotive, Electronics, or other regulated manufacturing experience.
• CAPA and non-conformance experience.
• Quality improvement / continuous improvement experience.
• Supplier or customer quality experience.
• Experience working closely with Engineering and Production teams.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Quick learner with a hands‑on, team‑oriented approach.
