Job summary

Matlen Silver is seeking a motivated Junior QA Engineer to support quality assurance and production sustainment in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has an engineering background and 0–2 years of experience; training will be provided, and prior medical device industry experience is not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Industrial, or any Engineering discipline.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience; entry-level candidates welcome.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and investigation skills.
• Understanding of RCA and quality documentation.
• Working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong written communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work onsite five days a week in Kalamazoo, MI.
• Flexibility, eagerness to learn, and willingness to ask questions.

Responsibilities

• Support ongoing production sustainment and manufacturing quality activities.
• Assist with quality investigations, identify underlying issues, and support Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Prepare and maintain quality documentation, investigation reports, and records.
• Analyze quality-related data and assist with process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to investigate production issues and support corrective actions.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis, tracking, and reporting.
• Follow established quality procedures and applicable industry standards.
