Job summary

Summit Polymers is seeking an Engineer, Quality (Manufacturing) to drive product quality initiatives across development and production. You will develop APQP documents, lead PPAP readiness, and support customer qualification and launches.

The role requires 3–5 years in automotive quality, strong analysis skills, and capability to work with suppliers and internal teams. Travel up to 15% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related science preferred.
• 3-5 years of automotive quality experience required or equivalent.
• ASQC CQE certification a plus.
• Experience as Internal Auditor for IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 a plus.
• Willingness to complete post-hire training.

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains APQP quality documents including PFMEA, Process Flow, Control Plan, Inspection Standards and First/Last Piece Instructions.
• Supports PPAP submission and supplier quality reviews.
• Leads root cause analysis and PPS activities to resolve quality concerns.
• Supports internal quality systems, audits (IATF/ISO) and continuous improvement.
• Travel up to 15% to support customers and audits.
