Job summary

Summit Polymers is seeking an Engineer, Quality (Manufacturing) to ensure product quality from development through production. The role supports PPAP, APQP, and root cause problem solving, while partnering with internal teams and customers to meet quality standards.

The position requires 3–5 years in automotive quality, a engineering degree, and readiness to travel up to 15%. Experience with IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 and CQE credentials are pluses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering field or related science preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in automotive quality function is required or equivalent.
• ASQC CQE certification is a plus.
• Experience as Internal Auditor for IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 is a plus.
• Agreement to complete all post-hire required training is required.

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains and performs internal Layered Process Audits and analyzes findings for corrective actions.
• Supports new product development and PPAP processes (PFMEA, Process Flow/Control Plan, inspection standards).
• Communicates technical requirements and ensures compliance with GD&T and QA tools.
• Leads root cause problem solving and PPS activities to resolve quality concerns.
• Travels to customer locations to support containment and corrective actions as needed.
• Participates in customer audits and internal/external IATF/ISO audits.
