Job summary

The Pivot Group Network is expanding its network of Quality Engineers in Wayland, MI. This role focuses on developing and implementing quality control programs, driving root cause analysis, and improving product quality across the lifecycle.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field and 3+ years in manufacturing quality. ASQ certification is preferred; Minitab/JMP experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field
• 3+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and quality tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, 8D)
• Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes
• ASQ certification (e.g., CQE, CSSBB) preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control procedures and inspection plans.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for non-conformances.
• Monitor and analyze quality performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Lead and participate in internal and external quality audits.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure product quality throughout the lifecycle.
• Facilitate the resolution of customer complaints related to product quality.
