Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Marietta, GA seeks a Quality Engineer to provide direct quality engineering support for C-130 forward fuselage build operations. You will apply quality principles across design, incoming material, production control, and supplier performance, collaborating with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers.

Responsibilities include product failure investigations, corrective/preventive actions, statistics-based testing, and supplier certification

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher preferably in a STEM field or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Experience interpreting drawings and specifications for development of quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for inspection and testing of manufactured products.
  • Experience working in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Engages in supplier selection process and maintain certification programs.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher preferably in a STEM field or equivalent experience/combined education

Experience interpreting drawings and specifications for development of quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for inspection and testing of manufactured products.

Experience working in a dynamic manufacturing environment

Desired Skills

Ability to focus on continual improvement practices using causal analysis tools to drive corrective and preventive actions

Understanding of AS9100, ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems

Experinece conducting technical evaluations of product requirements, specifications, designs, and procedures.

Experience with control and disposition of nonconforming material

Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic fast paced environment

Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
