Job summary

Precision Castparts is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with quality systems. You will work with engineering and operations to identify root causes of non-conformances and drive continuous improvement using tools like MSA, PFMEA, and Six Sigma.

The role involves audits, containment planning, and program development for inspection equipment, with travel to multiple facilities as needed. A strong background in Lean and Six Sigma is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Materials Science or related Engineering field; MS or MBA required.
• 3+ years of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment.
• Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Identify root causes for internal and external non-conformances, escapes, or returns.
• Audit product, process, and system conformance to ISO 9001/AS9100.
• Develop and implement containment plans to isolate non-conforming product.
• Create and modify CMM or laser inspection programs as needed.
• Lead quality performance data analysis and drive cost and productivity improvements.
• Travel approximately 25% between Ceramic Group facilities (e.g., Sanford NC, Merida MX, Wickliffe OH, Cleveland OH).
