Metal Technologies in Michigan is seeking a Quality Engineer to maintain the quality system, review customer requirements, and drive containment and corrective actions. The role involves audits, supplier interaction, and collaboration across plant functions.

Travel to MTI and customer facilities is required. The ideal candidate has strong problem solving, communication, and leadership skills with experience in PPAP, APQP, and ISO/IATF standards.

Formación

• BS degree in engineering or related field preferred or
• Professional Engineering certification with at least 3 years professional experience or
• At least 7 years of engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
• Experience with engineering related computer systems/capabilities preferred (2D CAD, CAE, Pro-E, MAGMA, etc.)

Responsabilidades

• Attend customer meetings and follow up on rejects and concerns.
• Perform scrap reviews and report findings.
• Participate in problem solving teams and Lean/ Six Sigma initiatives.
• Assist in training hourly personnel on quality specifications.
• Investigate defects and recommend modifications to product/process/standards.
• Maintain good relationships with customers, suppliers and plant personnel.
• Monitor internal quality systems and report findings with recommendations.
• Assist in PPAP documentation for new/changed products.
• Support Corrective/Preventive Action processes; drive best practices.
• Assist Quality Manager as directed.
