Job summary

EIS Legacy LLC on-site in Georgia seeks a Quality Lead to promote quality awareness and ensure compliance with the Quality Management System. The role ensures products, processes, analysis, and documentation meet customer quality standards and company guidelines.

The position includes leading Level 1/2 quality technicians, coaching on QMS requirements, and performing inspections and audits on the manufacturing floor. Job type is full-time, in-person, with hourly pay $23.00–$32.00.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and 1 year related manufacturing experience.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and GD&T interpretation.
• Familiarity with SAP ERP systems and SPC/capability studies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and verify setup, in-process, and final inspections on the manufacturing floor according to quality criteria.
• Perform First Article Inspections, COCs, and COAs; document non-conformances.
• Coach and train operators on QMS requirements and measurement best practices.
• Maintain calibration records for equipment and assist with PPAP levels 1-4; support CAPA activities.
• Prepare customer-specific documents and SDS; conduct capability studies.

Job description

Pay: $23.00 - $32.00 per hour

Purpose of the Job: The Quality Lead promotes quality awareness by emphasizing the importance of adhering to the Quality Management System. This role ensures that products, processes, analysis, and documentation comply with company and customer-specific quality standards.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities (Include the following; however, other duties may apply.)

Technician Level 1 Functions

• Conduct and verify setup, in-process, and final inspections on the manufacturing floor based on customer and company quality criteria.
• Perform quality verifications and complete First Article Inspections, Certificates of Conformance (COC), and Certificates of Analysis (COA).
• Conduct manufacturing floor audits and document non-conformances.
• Perform vision system inspections and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) inspections as needed.
• Program vision systems when required.
• Coach and train operators on customer requirements, QMS requirements, and best measurement practices.
• Assist with other quality functions as needed.

Technician Level 2 Functions

All Level 1 Functions plus:

• Maintain calibration records for company equipment, including internal and external calibrations.
• Submit vendor complaints and follow up for corrective actions and credit.
• Assist with customer complaints and follow-up activities.
• Manage customer surveys and assessments.
• Maintain the nonconforming inventory area, ensuring inventory matches SAP.
• Complete PPAP levels 1, 2, and 4, as well as annual PPAPs; assist with PPAP level 3.
• Prepare customer-specific documents and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Conduct capability studies and coach/train Level 1 Quality Technicians.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of related experience or training in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in basic blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.
• Skilled in using calipers and micrometers, both metric and imperial.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical and decision-making abilities, informed by data and results.
• Familiarity with SAP ERP systems and SPC/capability study experience preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
