Job summary

SRAM is seeking a Quality Engineer to own product quality for a specific value stream across its lifecycle, from development through production and beyond. The role emphasizes driving continuous improvement, ensuring customer satisfaction, and fostering a culture of quality.

The selected candidate will lead cross-functional teams, enhance quality metrics, and collaborate with Asian suppliers while traveling internationally about once per month.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering or manufacturing.
• Proficient in using and teaching quality tools to resolve complex issues.
• Experience working with Asian-based suppliers preferred.
• Willingness to travel approximately one week every other month, including internationally.

Responsibilities

• Champion continuous improvement by increasing value-added activities and eliminating waste.
• Ensure the value stream meets or exceeds customer expectations.
• Assess and define current quality metrics and processes; lead improvement initiatives.
• Develop understanding of the full value stream from development to post-launch operations.
• Inspire and lead cross-functional teams to implement meaningful change.
• Maintain daily quality operations while driving long-term improvements.
• Use data-driven decision-making to solve problems and guide strategy.
• Simplify solutions without compromising effectiveness.
