Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Sedalia, MO is seeking a Quality Engineer to help ensure products meet strict quality standards and support transformation of metal castings and raw materials into high-performing products used worldwide.

You will lead root cause analysis, drive corrective actions, and collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and purchasing to strengthen reliability and drive continuous improvement across the plant.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant quality experience required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• 3+ years of relevant quality experience within a manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years experience with MS Office Suite, including intermediate Excel.
• 1+ year experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JDE, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and document process improvements for quality and reliability.
• Maintain documentation to support process improvements (Process Control, Inspection logs, ECNs).
• Develop and maintain procedures supporting ISO certification and participate in audits.
• Investigate quality issues on the production floor, communicate with suppliers on non-conforming material, and manage supplier corrective actions.
• Support plant internal corrective actions and related tasks.
