Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Quality Engineer to participate in the creation and operation of a Quality Management system capable of handling volume orders, collaborating with all departments to maintain ISO 9001 certification.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and familiarity with Quality tools and methods. The role generally requires 4 days onsite per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience operating a manufacturing quality system.
• Experience with part prints, tolerancing.
• Experience with inspection tools, hand held (micrometers, calipers) and more advanced (comparators, CMM, vision systems).
• Ability to write clear instructions and follow instructions.
• Comfortable with spreadsheets, Word documents and basic statistics.
• BS in technical field or engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document standard procedures
• Create and execute inspection plans, gather other data as needed
• Assist with root cause analysis of issues, follow up on corrective actions
• Maintain Quality records and prepare customer documentation
• Assist with calibration
• Other quality tasks as needed or assigned.
• Responsibilities are subject to change based on shifting business needs
