Job summary

Saab Aeronautics Indiana LLC is seeking a Quality Engineer Intern in West Lafayette, IN to support the development of a world-class Quality function. You will lead a designated internship project, coordinate with a mentor, and apply coursework to deliver value-added impact while learning quality principles and systems.

You will learn internal audits, risk mitigation, and continual process improvement, with responsibilities spanning testing, inspections, and collaboration across quality team

Qualifications

• Enrolled in bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, Quality, Business Management or similar field, at an accredited university.
• Completed Freshman year in academic curriculum as of hire date (fall 2026) Coursework or previous experience with Quality Systems, testing and inspection methodologies.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
• Excellent communication and team building experience.
• Ability to be self-driven and deliver a high quality of work.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete internship project assigned by the department manager with deliverables.
• Learn about and assist in implementation and execution of Quality Management System principles and processes.
• Monitor the assembly cycle and perform tests/inspections to identify potential non-conformances.
• Support risk analysis and participate in risk mitigation plans with root cause analysis.
• Participate in internal audits to ensure process maturity and compliance for customer, production, and supply chain.
