Job summary

Saab USA in West Lafayette, IN is seeking a Quality Engineer Intern to help build a world-class Quality function at our new advanced manufacturing operation.

You'll complete an internship project with a mentor, learn about Quality Management System principles, support process development, perform tests and inspections, analyze risk, and participate in internal audits. Strong communication and teamwork are essential, and a self-driven, high-quality work approach is expected.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in bachelor's degree program in Engineering, Quality, Business Management or similar field, at an accredited university.
• Completed Freshman year in academic curriculum as of hire date (fall 2026).
• Coursework or previous experience with Quality Systems, testing and inspection methodologies.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
• Excellent communication and team building experience.
• Ability to be self-driven and deliver a high quality of work.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Completion of internship project with mentor guidance and deliverables.
• Learn and implement Quality Management System principles at the new site.
• Support process development by integrating quality policy into procedures.
• Monitor assembly cycles and perform tests/inspections to identify non-conformances.
• Assist with risk analysis, mitigation plans, and root cause analysis.
• Participate in internal audits to ensure process maturity and compliance.
• Collaborate with Quality team members to learn quality principles and systems.
