Job summary

Saab in West Lafayette is seeking motivated engineering students for a paid Engineering Internship for Summer 2027. The Production Support and Design Organization helps both production processes and design improvements.

Responsibilities include completing a designated internship project, partnering with a mentor, and contributing to cross-functional improvement efforts while applying coursework knowledge to deliver value for Saab.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an accredited engineering degree program is required.
• Completed freshman year or greater at time of hire (Fall 2026).
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
• Prior co-op experience is preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Ability to deliver high-quality work and drive change.

Responsibilities

• Complete a designated internship project, as assigned by the department manager.
• Partner with assigned mentor to solicit feedback and direction as needed.
• Job duties will vary to meet development needs and provide project context.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects in cross‑functional teams.
• Contribute to improvements of manufacturing processes and problem‑solving events.
