Job summary

Steffes Solutions, LLC in Grand Forks, ND seeks a student pursuing a degree in quality/engineering to help create and maintain manufacturing and production control processes. You will collaborate with the Quality Team on current methods, lead quality projects from definition to reporting, and develop internal systems to monitor quality.

Proficiency in MS Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint and strong communication are valued.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a degree in Quality, Engineering, Operations, or related field.
• Proficient skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint.
• Basic time management skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication, including interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with good organization and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current state work methods, procedures, controls, and documentation in manufacturing and business processes.
• Lead quality assurance/control projects from definition to reporting.
• Provide data analysis, trend reviews, and cost estimates for improvement projects.
• Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Develop internal systems/tools to monitor quality excellence.
• Measure and inspect materials/parts under QA direction.
• Document and maintain procedures and standard work.
• Calibrate tools and manage external calibrations.
• Use Steffes ERP to record inspections, nonconformances, calibrations.
• Develop and maintain production acceptance criteria.
• Foster collaborative work atmosphere with all stakeholders.
• Support strategic, quality and safety objectives.
• Other duties as assigned.
