Job summary

Steffes is seeking a Maintenance Lead in Grand Forks, ND, to supervise daily maintenance and ensure safe, reliable operation of manufacturing equipment and facilities. You will coordinate work, troubleshoot complex electrical/PLC systems, and drive preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

In this role you will mentor technicians, promote safety, and collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, EHS, and other teams to improve reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of experience in a related field.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of equipment.
• Able to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Good hearing and ability to see well (use of corrective hearing aids or lenses allowed).
• Basic computer knowledge (Windows, email, internet, etc.).
• Basic math skills.
• Reading skills (Basic instructional and technical information).
• OR an acceptable combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead daily maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable operation of manufacturing equipment and facilities.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, electronic controls, PLC, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems to maximize equipment availability.
• Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability and minimize unplanned downtime.
• Assign, coordinate, and monitor daily maintenance work while supporting the Maintenance Supervisor in meeting production priorities.
• Mentor, train, and provide technical guidance to maintenance technicians while promoting accountability and teamwork.
