Job summary

Steffes is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern/Co-op for Summer 2027 in Dickinson, ND. The role focuses on creating and maintaining manufacturing processes, monitoring shop capacity, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

You will work on LEAN events, NCR handling, and participate in layout and time/motion studies while collaborating with customers, suppliers, and management to uphold Steffes’ safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of engineering courses.
• An acceptable combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain manufacturing process definitions using SAP’s SOPs and BOPs.
• Participate in LEAN events and follow-up on action items.
• Lead productivity improvement projects and implement training.
• Complete plant layouts of equipment, flow, storage, and exterior items.
• Supports the company in achieving its quality and safety objectives.
