Job summary

Jabil is seeking an onsite Quality Engineer in Florence, KY to represent quality from NPI through manufacturing and field performance. You will prevent risks, lead corrective actions, and partner with engineering to optimize PFMEA and control plans.

The role requires mentoring Quality Technicians and driving continuous improvement. The position emphasizes collaboration across functions, meeting metric goals for yields and performance, and ensuring compliance with customer procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated Quality Engineer experience in related industry or field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Quality Visual aids for inline, final and OBA Inspection.
• Improve NPI Efficiency and Quality using Design for Manufacturability tools.
• Partner with Engineering to develop and update PFMEA and Control Plans.
• Lead efforts with ME and TE to improve process and test yields.
• Conduct LPA2 and ISO Internal Audits.
• Review and verify all customer related defects.
• Lead the team in using Quality tools to identify root causes of issues.
• Meet or exceed metrics for process yields, FNI and OBA performance.
• Ensure CAPA and Jira metrics are met.
• Ensure compliance to customer procedures and prints.
• Complete FAI or customer NPI documentation as required.
• Review and approve ECN/PCN/Deviations/Quality Alerts.
• Provide trend analysis of defects internally and at the customer site.
• Interface with the customer to provide technical quality support.
• Train team members on quality topics (Calibration, ESD, CAPA).
• Mentor Quality Technicians and improve their skills.
• Adhere to safety, health, and security policies.
• Conduct continuous improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma.
