Job summary

Jabil, Inc. in Florence, KY is seeking a Quality Inspector 3 responsible for performing complex inspections of products, materials, and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.

You will use advanced inspection equipment such as CMMs and optical comparators, interpret drawings and ISO/IPC standards, conduct FAI and CAPA, and collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical associate preferred.
• 5+ years experience in quality inspection in manufacturing (electronics/medical devices/aerospace).
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, schematics, and GD&T.
• Expertise in operating and programming CMMs and other advanced inspection equipment.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485) and IPC standards.
• Experience with root cause analysis and CAPA.
• Excellent communication and documentation of findings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• May require ASQ Certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced inspections per drawings and quality control plans.
• Use CMMs, optical comparators, and gauges to verify dimensions.
• Interpret blueprints and ISO/IPC standards in inspection.
• Perform FAI, in-process, and final inspections.
• Identify non-conforming materials and initiate CARs.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to resolve issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis and contribute to CAPA.
• Assist in training less experienced inspectors.
• Participate in internal and external audits.
• Maintain inspection records and non-conformance logs.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
