Working Onsite the Quality Engineer III plays a critical role in ensuring product quality and process compliance within a manufacturing environment. This position focuses on proactive quality management through preventative measures, continuous improvement, and risk mitigation. By leading audits, driving corrective actions, and implementing quality systems, this role helps maintain high standards aligned with ISO requirements. The impact extends across operations, resolving quality issues and defect on the production floor, improving product reliability, minimizing defects, and strengthening overall operational excellence. This role is essential in fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the organization.
Location: On-site at one of our many State-of-the-Art highest Jabil revenue generating Florence, KY facilities.
Shift: 12-hour shift 6pm to 6am with rotating Wednesdays/Thursdays working 4 on with 3 days off then 3 on with 4 days off throughout the week. Sunday - Wednesday / Sunday - Tuesday 6PM - 6AM
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated experience with CAPA systems, FMEA, and ISO standards.
Solid understanding of risk management principles.
Strong root cause analysis (RCA) and problem-solving skills.
Expertise in Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Prefer a strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and relevant quality standards.
Advanced proficiency in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
Experience developing and managing work instructions and SOPs.
Proficiency in quality planning tools and methodologies.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret quality data and trends.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Prior experience leading cross-functional quality improvement initiatives.
Experience within highly regulated manufacturing environments.
Professional certifications in quality (e.g., ASQ CQE) are a plus.
Hands-on experience with audit management and leading audits.
Experience mentoring or leading small teams preferred.
