Job summary

MPI is seeking a Quality Engineer III to ensure top quality and compliance across engineering and manufacturing, with a focus on continuous improvement and product excellence in Los Angeles.

The role requires leading QA initiatives, data-driven decisions, and collaboration with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to resolve quality issues and drive process excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 4+ years in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, QA, or similar.
• Experience supporting QMS in regulated manufacturing environments.
• Working knowledge of ISO standards and compliance requirements.
• Experience with supplier and customer quality processes.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience in electronics, industrial/manufacturing sectors.
• Certification in Quality Engineering or Six Sigma.
• Experience conducting audits and managing corrective actions.
• Advanced statistical analysis and quality improvement experience.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and QC techniques.

Responsibilities

• Support and continuously improve the QMS.
• Drive initiatives focused on product quality, process improvement, and customer satisfaction.
• Analyse quality data and identify opportunities for corrective and preventive action.
• Partner with manufacturing, engineering, operations, suppliers, and customers to resolve quality-related issues.
• Lead or support root cause investigations and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Participate in internal and external audits and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
• Support supplier quality and customer quality programmes.
• Develop and monitor quality metrics to measure performance and identify trends.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other quality methodologies.
• Assist with documentation, process controls, and quality system enhancements.

Profile

A successful Quality Engineer III should have:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial, or a related technical discipline).
• 4+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a similar technical role.
• Experience supporting Quality Management Systems (QMS) and working within regulated manufacturing environments.
• Working knowledge of ISO standards, quality systems, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with supplier quality and customer quality processes.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience in electronics, industrial manufacturing, precision manufacturing, or similar industries.
• Certification in Quality Engineering, Six Sigma, or related disciplines.
• Experience conducting audits and managing corrective action programmes.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control techniques.
